Requested Look: Avon 24 K Quad

As you all know from time to time... I take request as to what people would like to see well for this look I was asked to use some Avon stuff that I  had purchased...

Base:

Mark by Avon Please Hold eye primer... still on the hunt to find a replacement for my benefit cosmetic that has been discontinued... I'll let you know tomorrow how it held up

Color:

The packaging on the quad is similar to the Lancome quads packaging... but the Avon quad is sooooooooo much cheaper....

On the Lid I used the Gold color, in the outer V used the Brown... In the crease used the Purple.. On the Brow bone I used the white....

Overall I give this shadow a : B+ ... I  would have liked to have the gold color be a little more pigmented..

Movie Review : No Strings Attached

So this weekend I went to see the new Ashton Kutcher, Natalie Portman Movie: No Strings Attached... The premise of the movie is that these two friends are in a physical relationship only... no emotional attachments... which works well for them both until ...... anyway I'm not usually a fan of Ashton Kutcher I can always wait to see his movies on DVD , they are just not worth spending a lot of money to go see... but I give this one a B-.....

I also did my make-up to go and see that movie....I went to the Mac store in Macy's while I was waiting for it to start.. I did a really quick look..Yep they let me do my own make-up there... this is the look....

Base : Soft Ochre Paintpot

Color:  Prance all over Lid , Dandizette in the Crease, Peek -At-You as a highlight

Mascara: I used False Lashes ...totally worth buying if you are only buying one thing from MAC

Pencil: Engraved Eye Pencil

How To Get Fuller Brows....

1. Use a soft brow pencil with a slightly powdery texture (if it's too creamy, the color will smudge). It should be at least two shades lighter than your haircolor—unless you have white or very blonde hair. In that case, choose a pencil two shades darker than your hair. If you have very dark skin and dark hair, you can use a charcoal brow pencil—but no one should ever use black.

2. With a spoolie (the wiry brush often found at the end of a brow pencil), brush brow hairs down, then softly trace (don't press) the pencil along the brows' upper edges. Brush hairs back in place.

3. Fill the inner corners and tail ends with light, short strokes of the pencil. Run the spoolie over the entire length of the brows to soften and blend the color.

4. A note on timing: Fill in your brows after you apply foundation but before eye makeup. You will probably find that once they're more defined, you'll need less liner and mascara to look bright eyed.

Wet N Wild Palette : Vanity

Another day another Wet N Wild Palette.... Today Its Vanity..which  is a neutral ... As I have said before...even though it is a drugstore brand the quality of the product is comparable to that of any department store..

the look is very basic can be tweaked if you like .... PS don't mind the huge crater in the middle of my forehead..popped up overnight

Wet N Wild Palette : Pride

So today I am wearing the Pride from that collection that wet and wild came out with...Its a blue, green palette that kinda of matches the weather kind of dreary and cold....

On my eyes: I did the matte blue from the palette all over the lids.... I did the shimmery green in the crease ....on my brow bone the shimmery white..... I used Mac Prussian eyeliner with the shimmery blue from that palette over it.... Covergirl Professional Mascara

On My Face: Maybelline Dream Mousse the formula is a Matte formula (1) , Mac Desert Rose Blush

Lips: Mac Shock-O-Late lipglass

So on a side note I went to Mac last night and used my GC from work to get some makeup decided to spend it all on ME....  I got the lipglass in Shock-o-late..it comes out kinda of golden brown... I got four eye shadows: Patina, Era, those are neutrals.... They had some left overs from an Dare to Wear collection  hot pink and purple got those too..... and the So Bad lip gloss

 And I also went to Sally's Beauty Supply and found the lip gloss above on sale so i bought it to try will let you know my thoughts....

Wet N Wild Palette : Lust

So today is a purple day.... As you all know I'm all about the savings and the cheap makeup...  I need to get my makeup fix... so anyhooo a couple months ago Wet N Wild came out with these palettes : Lust , Greed, Vanity, Pride.......

Well today I am wearing Lust this is a purple based color palette....both in a matte and shimmery finish.... the feel of the colors is like butter, it is really soft so you will only need a little bit on your brush.... I used the second one the left all over the lid... the silver in the crease... then I used the white as a highlight..without further ado here are the pictures:

Wet N Wild Spring Collection: Silent Treatment

Wet So I wanted to do a neutral look for work today and decided that I would test out this palette...I got it  from Walgreen's when they were selling them for 50% off ... still it was only $2.99 full price not bad at all and the quality of the shadows are very comparable to any department store brand...

And on a side note , i received by Deborah Lippmann Across the Universe polish the packaging was ridiculous... It peeled it self off the next day... I used top coat and base coat...for the money i paid it needs to stay on longer. : (

BRRRRR.................... Cold

This morning I took a picture of my temp gauge people...think warm thoughts .......

Another Heidi Klum Palette..........

So I found this in my makeup drawer... I think this was the first palette that Heidi Klum  did for Victoria's Secret.... It was the Very Sexy Quad.....

Eyes:

I did Chills all over the lid ( the silver color a good substitute would be Mac Silver Ring)

On the outer v I used Fierce (glittery black a good substitute would be Mac Knight Divine)

the crease I used Lights Out ( the green, a good substitute would be Mac Humid)

For the Highlight I finished it out with Champagne ( which is a shimmer frost you could substitute Mac Shroom )

Face:

 I used my Maybelline foundation and Mac Desert Rose Blush ( yeah I know I use that blush everyday..it's my favourite)

Lips:

I used Mac Chestnut lip pencil to line my lips , after i used a lip balm to make my lips not so dry...

I then used  L' Oreal Lipstick in Color Of Hope... this was a lipstick that when you purchase it proceeds go towards the cure ... I like giving back but looking pretty... :)

Yeah and I love my perfume .........
