Reveiw: Avon Supershock Eyeliner In Metallic Teal

Hello Everyone,

Okay so I wanted to do a quick update. I was asked to give my thoughts on this so here goes.

Thoughts:

In the jar it is not as metallic as in the catalogue. It reminds me more of Mac Shade fluidline.  It was kind of moss green in color. It has some sparkly gold flecks in it, which I guess makes it metallic.
When I put it on my eye it did not go on solid, it was patchy.

Even though I was not impressed by the color, I did like the wear on this product I had it on for 8+ hours and it held up really well.

I like the price on this , it can be purchased for less than $5.00
I would say get this if you like Mac Shade but don't want to spend a lot.

Overall though I would give this a C

Review : Avon Vivid Orchid Eyeshadow Duo

Hello Everyone,

So today I was provided some products to review. I will be trying to get all my reviews done this week.

Today's Product Is the Avon Vivid Orchid Eyeshadow.

So I of course wore it for the whole day before I did this review because I wanted to see how it would hold up.

Thoughts:

The eyeshadow is silky, very comparable to department store eyeshadows. We all know that sometimes when you buy the inexpensive shadows they tend to be a little chalky and hard to work with.

The eyeshadow was very pigmented, I would go so far as to compare this duo to some Mac shadows that are available.

I added my base to the shadow and it was very long wearing, I put it on at 10:00am and at midnight when I took my make off it hadn't moved, slipped or creased.

I like the fact that you don't have to pay that much to get such bright silky colors, the shadow is buildable. It doesn't look like you caked it on.

I also liked the price.

Overall:

I would recommend this particular duo as a must have, if you are a big purple fan or If you are trying color for the first time.

Price :

$ 3.49 Intro price , available from Avon

Product Review: Bare Minerals Foundation

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to talk to you about the Bare Minerals Foundation in Warm Tan that I was using.

What it does:

With just five pure ingredients, bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation delivers flawless coverage and the creamy minerals are clinically proven to improve the appearance of skin over time. It looks like a powder, feels like a cream, and buffs on like silk, giving skin a natural luminosity while feeling as if you are not wearing any makeup at all.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Synthetic Fragrances
- Synthetic Dyes
- Petrochemicals
- Phthalates
- GMOs
- Triclosan

What else you need to know:
The coverage is complete and is free of preservatives, talc, oil, waxes, fragrances, and other chemicals that can irritate skin and cause breakouts.

Thoughts:

I liked this product and the cost is not bad , it was only $26. I have heard people say that it helps to clear your skin up. I did not see that in my case. I did notice that my T-zones would be oily later in the day, but for the time that I was using the powder I was not getting any breakouts.

Review : CoverGirl Outlast Lipcolor in Canyon

This is the Canyon Lip Color That I Promised I would review:

Product Features

  • Beautiful color really lasts 10 hours
  • With All-Day Colorcoat and Moisturizing Topcoat
  • Topcoat keeps lips soft and moist and can be re-applied throughout the day

Thoughts

It felt more like I was wearing a lip stain, the moisturizing  top coat just didn't do anything for me. At times I feel that it was chunky. I was able to peel it off. It was very drying. It did not last all day on my lips, it lasted until I ate or drank something.

Would I Ever But This Again: No

Is it worth trying: Maybe If you like the lip stain look, or a matte type deal

Mary Kay Eyesicle Eye Color in Pink Frost

Hello Everyone,

Yesterday I used this under my eyeshadow, like I would use my paint point or NYX eyeshadow base. I was not impressed at all. It was a complete and utter disaster.

Likes:
  •  The Packaging
  •   The Price ($13)

Dislikes:

  • It was very Metallicy
  •  It caused my eyeshadow to bubble in some spots, and fade into others
  • It made the eyeshadow colors look dirty
  • It was very hard to work with, blending was not as smooth as with some other cream shadow products
Overall I didn't like  this product I would not recommend it to anyone, unless they revamp it

Philosophy Face Wash

Hey Everyone,

Sorry I have been MIA, I have been sick, sick ,sick ... Not a 100% yet but I am getting there.. Don't forget my giveaway...

Today  I wanted to do a product review....

Philosophy Purity Made Simple High Foam Cleansing Face Wash

purity made simple

Product Information :

this gentle foaming daily facial skin cleanser is formulated to gently cleanse, tone and remove all face and eye makeup, while lightly hydrating the skin.

features & benefits
  • foaming, multitasking cleanser
  • leaves skin feeling clean and refreshed
  • gentle enough for the eye area

Thoughts:

I liked this product it has this soothing chamomile scent to it, it does take off the make-up but it doesn't take off the eyeliner from the lower waterline. Probably because I am afraid to put it that close to my eyes. I like that it leaves this clean feeling when washed off.
The only thing  I don't care for is the price

MAC Haute & Naughty Lash Mascara

So today I decide that I would talk about my new mascara, the MAC Haute & Naughty Lash.

Product Description:

A two-in-one mascara that lets you choose if you want lashes to be naturally defined, or instantly combed and loaded for full-on drama. Easy to use dual-wiper system allows this lightweight formula to go on either way. One wiper refines the application for a clean sweep, while the other loads the lashes for greater impact. A two-in-one mascara that lets you choose if you want lashes to be naturally defined, or instantly combed and loaded for full-on drama. Easy to use dual-wiper...

 Haute & Naughty Lash

Packaging:

The Packaging is surprisingly deceptive, it has two different size wands, a very thin one at the very top and a very thick one when you unscrew the glittered top (love it). If you hadn't read the description and just bought it out right you would never know.

Price:

$ 18.00  USD

Thoughts:

Although I will confess that I love having the thicker, fuller lashes like the next girl. Spending  $18.00 dollars for something that I can only use for three months tops, kind of makes me want to cry. There has to be a cheaper alternative out there that gives the same effect. There are those out there who will say that MAC isn't that expensive but when compared to a L'Oreal ,Maybelline, Revlon or Covergirl mascara (which sometimes can be found on sale) it is. To be honest other than the curved brush the effect is that of the Maybelline Falsies..

EOS: Limited Edition Lip balms

As I was walking into my local Walgreen's, I see a bright pink and purple circle that catches my eye. I can't help myself I move in closer for a better look and further exploration... I find the new summer collection of this lip gloss.. I have to try it, so into the basket goes the package...

Thoughts:

There are two spherical balms in the packing, I like the circle because it makes it easier to find in my bottom less pit that I call a purse.

I also like the packaging because I feel it is more ergonomic, so it allows for easier application

The smell is nice and it leaves your lips soft and smooth, not at all waxy

The Cost : around $5.99 plus tax

Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips

As you all know I am always looking for ways to save a buck. So when my pores got a little cloggy I was off to my local Target to stare at the array of products to cleanse and de-clog the pores. Summer is almost on us and we all know that with the sweating, sunscreen, makeup and other miscellanous stuff floating around that gets on our skin we need a deep (cheap) way of cleaning ourselves up.

So I went with the Biore Facial Strip combo-pack, It has the face and nose strips.

Product Information:

Two different strips (for your face and nose) instantly remove pore-clogging dirt, oil and blackheads from all your problem areas. In just one use, these strips are twice as effective as the leading pore cleanser at getting rid of pore-clogging build-up and blackheads. Helps reduce the appearance of pores with regular use.
  • Oil-free
Fun Fact:

  • Clogged pores look bigger, and the stuff inside a pore can actually stretch it.

  • When the stuff in your pores gets exposed to air, it darkens, making pores look even bigger — which is why you want to be sure to keep them clean.

  • What gets in pores? Usually dead skin cells, sebum (lipids, oils), and bacteria.

  • How To Use:

    1. Remove strip from pouch. Before using nose strips, twist strip to loosen and separate slits featured on nose strips only.
    2. After washing your face, thoroughly wet your nose or other face area (where you have clogged pores or blackheads). The strip won't stick on a dry nose.
    3. Dry hands. Peel strip off plastic liner. Apply to nose area, smooth side down, pressing down to ensure good contact with skin.
    4. Let dry for about 10-15 minutes until stiff to the touch—like papier-mâché.
    5. Slowly and carefully peel off starting at edges, pulling toward center.
For best results, do not use more often than once every three days.

    Overall:

I liked it, I love the price runs between $8-$10 at any drug store. It allows you to have a deep cleaning without having to break your budget. The one issue I had is when pulling the strips off they hurt just a little bit.

    Philosophy Foundation Review

As promised I am about to lay my thoughts on you about the foundation I wore yesterday.

Okay so here is what the product website has to say about it:

    Supernatural Superbeautiful - Good-For-Skin Makeup SPF 20

    Supernatural Superbeautiful - Good-For-Skin Makeup SPF 20

    What it is:
A super-healthy, hybrid makeup with SPF 20 that delivers sheer color, moisture, and protection in one step.

    What it does:

The supernatural superbeautiful is a super-healthy, hybrid makeup created for the woman who needs an easy-to-apply, get-out-the-door makeup. Philosophy's new hybrid alternative to traditional liquid makeup uses pure, natural color in a skin-loving, water-based formula that won't pollute your pores and is as good for your skin as any skincare product. The healthy, good-for-your-skin formula is infused with natural, plant-based moisturizers, minerals, vitamins, antioxidants, and naturally sourced SPF 20 UVA/UVB protection. The supernatural superbeautiful provides natural-looking coverage and a healthy, radiant finish that looks like great skin, not makeup.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:- Parabens
    - Phthalates
    - Sulfates
    - Synthetic Fragrances

Well as you all know I am looking for the perfect foundation to make me runway ready everyday... We seem to be getting closer this is what it says it is healthy makeup

    Likes:

---Even though it is liquid it has a thick consistency which is a plus (because how many times ladies have you gotten foundation on your shirt?)

---The color matches skin very well it blends right in cant tell the difference ( emm not say any names but I just spotted a picture of a celebrity recently and we all could tell where the difference between her foundation)

---The finish is satin like, very smooth and silky and long lasting

---Application with brush makes the foundation go on  a lot more full coverage

---The lack of that waxy smell (I see you nodding )

--- I like that it has SPF because with the summer coming we will be doing a lot of running around

Here is my freshly washed (me and my goofy grin)

Thick and Creamy , I had my hand tilted and it didn't run down at all (amazing)

    Dislikes:

---The Price - its $30.00 plus tax

---At the end of the day I was shiny (but that could be because I didn't have powder on) must try again and update

Overall I didn't have that many dislikes about with this particular product I would recommend this to someone looking for fuller coverage...

    Thoughts:

I liked it, lived up to the hype... I did two coats which made my lashes longer , I wish it seperated them more but length is key. I also didn't think that it added that much volume to my lashes. I dont care much for the spoon shape brush, I think that was the only thing I didnt care for, the price is like $5.99 +tax (love that)
