Movie Review: The Descendants

                                             



Plot:

A land baron tries to re-connect with his two daughters after his wife suffers a boating accident.

Thoughts:

In this movie Clooney gives an outstanding performance as an out of touch with his family real estate attorney taking over the responsibility of raising his two daughters after his wife's accident all the while juggling his law practice and being the executor of a massive land fortune. Shailene Woodley gives a passable performance as his rebellious, foul mouth teenaged daughter who is sent away to boarding school to clean up her act, who is then called home to help care for her younger sibling. Newcomer Amara Miller plays his younger daughter trying to cope with having her father care for her after her mother's accident and the changes that come with having her sister being a role model. In the movie we see what happens when family secrets are revealed how it tears people's lives apart and changes family dynamics. We also see the greed in families when money is involved.The movie's backdrop is Hawaii, it shows that this is not always a paradise state for those of us who only see the glam and glitz.

I think that this would be a good movie to see in the theaters it is a R rated movie, it has lots of explicit language.

Movie Review: Sherlock Holmes : A Game Of Shadows

Plot:

Sherlock Holmes and his sidekick Dr. Watson join forces to outwit and bring down their fiercest adversary, Professor Moriarty.

Thoughts:

Okay first and foremost I want to say that I love Robert Downey Jr. I also loved the first Sherlock Holmes movie but this one was just ok. I think it started out a little slow, there was too much dialogue in some parts. It got to be a little overly worded. I was also sad about Rachel McAdams' part in this movie. I like her she is an amazing actress. I liked the cast as a whole, they have amazing chemistry. The editing on this movie could have been a little better to take out those really slow parts, but the flow was great. There were some funny parts in the movie. Hopefully they have a third Sherlock Holmes movie.

I would recommend that you go and see this movie over the holidays if you are looking for something to do.

Trouty Pout Fridays: New Release

So for today's edition I wanted to let everyone know that Mac is releasing a new Viva Glam in Feb.2012. The featured celebrities are Nikki Minaj and Ricky Martin, from what my lovely ladies at MAC have told me the colors are going to be amazing. I know for some spending $14.50 on a lipstick might be a bit much, but reminder the proceeds go to the fight against AIDS.

Review: Ojon Daily Intensive Shine Treatment

Product Information:

Ojon Daily Intensive Shine Treatment is simply amazing. This lightweight, non-greasy hair shine serum is my go-to frizz smoother because it makes my hair so smooth, shiny and silky feeling. It also has this addictive, sweet nutty fragrance that smells so yummy. The pump bottle does have some odd looking brown beads at the bottom but apparently the secret to Ojon products are their “microspheres” and an “exotic oil extracted from the tropical Ojon tree”. Exotic oil microspheres? They work, so I’m not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.
Created to instantly bring life back to dull and damaged hair, this smoothing serum contains light polymers that create an ultra-smooth effect while blow-drying, and create frizz-free curls when drying naturally. Plant derived conditioning agents fight the effects of humidity, while vitamins A and E leave hair soft and nourished. Formulated with 100% pure Ojon oil, supported by clinical studies to fortify, restore and nourish damaged hair.


Thoughts:

I added this product to my hair after my moisturizer just to seal it in. I have to say that I love this product, at first I was a little hesitant with the little granulates that are in the liquid. It reminded of clay, but with the first use I noticed that my hair was softer. I also noticed that I had less breakage as the moisture in my hair wasn't being sucked right out. The smell is very soft and very nice. I also noticed my hair was growing as well, it takes a lot to have my hair grow and not break and this really does the trick.

I would definitely get this again the only problem is it cost $24.00 that would be what would put a damper on me buying it.
