Oh Blue...Dahlia

So the search for  Blue Dahlia was over .... Yeah Estee Lauder launched this in the Fall of 2010...It sold out right away and lets just say NO ONE had it ....but I was able to find it not on eBay where they sometimes triple the retail price.....

So I did a look to go with the nails:

On the Eyes I used the Wet & Wild Snow Sprite From the Holiday Limited Edition Collection (Circa December 2010)... Eye Liner MAC Prussian..

On the Lips I used MAC Boudoir Lip gloss in Lap Of Luxury

Why so Blue...

So today is kind of a dreary day, cold and the end of winter seems to NOT be in sight... so to honor the cold I did an Ice Queen Look  with my NYX 78 palette.... For Eyeliner I used VS Exotic Plum....

Seductive Smudge-Proof Eyes

Taylor Swift is hot right now, but her eyes are even hotter.... So to get her eyes here ya go:


Prep:

Curl lashes, then dot a light layer of eye-shadow primer or oil-free foundation from lids to brows. Both grip onto makeup, preventing color from migrating.

The Technique:

1.  Gently pull your lid upward so you can see its inner rim. Line the rim with a few coats of jet-black waterproof pencil. Then line the inner rim of your lower lash line.
2.  Next, use the same pencil to line the skin directly above you upper lash line. Blend color into lashes with angled brush.
3. Layering liquid liner over pencil is the key to a stay-put look- the liquid  dries and locks down the first layer of color. With a black liquid-liner pen, make four evenly spaced dashes over the pencil line, then connect them.
4. Now its' time to create the winged-out edge. Close your eye, and trace a finger along your upper lid's crease, moving outward. When it meets the bony part of your eye, mark the spot with a dot of liquid liner (a).Place the tip of the liquid-liner pen on the dot, and drag it to the outer corner of your eye, thickening the line as you go (b).
5. Once the Liner has dried, dab your lid with a cream colored liquid shadow,the place a metallic version on the area just above your crease line and inner corner. Like creams, liquids catch light but stand up better to the heat.Finish with two coats of black mascara.

So every once in a while you want to wear a black eyeshadow but are afraid that you will look like you got punched in the eye.... Have no fear I have a way to do it ....

Here's the way to go:

To start we prime the eye so the shadow stays on all day.......

Eyes:

I used my Mac Prep & Prime in Medium

I the used Mac Carbon which is a Matte Black all over the lid

I then used a Mac Limited e/s in shimmer purple

To finish up I used Mac Jest on the brow bone

Mac Purple Haze e/s as eyeliner

 Face :

I used the Boots No7 Radiant Glow in Cocoa

Footprints In The Sand

One night I had a dream --
I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord, and
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand;
One belonged to me, and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of my life flashed before us,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that many times along the path of my life,
There was only one set of footprints.
I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in my life
This really bothered me, and I questioned the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
You would walk with me all the way;
But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life,
There is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why in times when I
needed you the most, you should leave me.
The Lord replied, "My precious, precious
child. I love you, and I would never,
never leave you during your times of
trial and suffering.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you."

Viva Glam : Gaga

Today Mac has launched another collaboration with Lady Gaga for their Viva Glam collection...If you don't know they have collaborated with her before and released a pink color..which I have posted in a previous look...Today's launch in a Neutral... I love it..... And even though it is pricey , every cent from the sale of M∙A∙C VIVA GLAM goes toward the M∙A∙C AIDS Fund.
